The Rock Hospital under Miracle Rock Foundation runs hospice care for terminal AIDS patients.
The hospital serves hospices that are isolated and community – based, as well those associated with home care agencies and hospitals.
The Rock Hospital ’s hospice care for terminal AIDS patients was organized for the following purposes:
- To encourage, extend and support high standards of patient care in hospice services
- To encourage hospice care as a feasible component of the health care delivery system.
- To offer a planned and joined right to be heard from hospice provides
- To spread information to those involved in hospice services.
- To join forces with organizations on behalf of hospice interests and others
- To sponsors, and encourage enlightening in hospice services.
At The Rock Hospital, psychological, emotional and spiritual supports are offered to help patients and their families cope with the dying process.
Our hospice care focuses on maintaining patients’ quality of life as opposed to aggressively treating their illnesses.
The foundation has a multi – disciplinary team which includes physicians, nurses, social workers, pastors and volunteers.
90% of our hospice care is given to patients in their homes while about 10% is given at our hospital which has home – like settings. |
